Apple changed his attitude to F2P games

The company Apple will no longer be called as free those games in which there is micropayments.

For this purpose Apple changed the inscription on the download button F2P games in the English version in App Store from «Free» to «Get». In this way they have taken the first step to eliminate all F2P (free-to-play) projects from the category of free - about this reports the site Re/code.

The fact that in early 2014, members of the European Commission  have consulted with the developers about F2P games.

EU authorities insist that the word "free" can be used only to completely free games. A confusion with the definitions harms consumers, but also undermines the credibility of the promising markets.

For example, then Google promised to September 2014 stop using the word "free" in relation to F2P projects. Google a bit changed the names of categories with games and applications in the Google Play store and removed out the word "free" and even began to indicate the price of " wares" within the application.

Although later, but still the company Apple also agreed to follow the recommendations of the European Commission.

And yet the game with micropayments in App Store still included in the category of free games. And unfortunately it is not known when company is going to change that.
