Samsung sent in US stores the virtual reality glasses Gear VR Innovator Edition. This is reported on the company's website.

These glasses have been presented in September 2014 at the exhibition IFA. To Gear VR is connected via microUSB the new Galaxy Note 4 with a 5.7-inch display. The smartphone serves as screen, as a source of image, of sound and as power supply. For glasses not need a computer or console!

With its built-in accelerometer and gyroscope this device tracks the movement of the head, but only determines the direction of  view. Galaxy Note 4 camera lets you see what's going on around.

  To these glasses will be on sale also Samsung Gear Circle™ Bundle (headphones) and Samsung Gamepad Bundle (just gamepad).

Samsung invented an interface together with Oculus VR, which uses Samsung screens in glasses Oculus Rift. Both partners have stated that these two devices "will not compete" with each other (almost believed ! ).

Many developers have promised to support Gear VR with mobile games, such as Imangi Studios with the continuation of Temple Run.

The glasses have been valued at $ 200 !!! (- and this is for a piece of plastic with holes!) and is also required the smartphone Galaxy Note 4. You can buy these glasses so far only in the US.
Max Cohen, head of the mobile division Oculus VR said that sooner or later the device Gear VR will appear in stores in other countries. He stated that the Gear VR is a completely new platform and developers will not rush to do something for it (of course ! ).
